My Flower Preservation Journey

If only I could turn back time and collect all the flowers that were given to me, so I could easily bring back so many good memories by preserving the flowers in resin, I would. But sadly, all I can do now, is go back and look at old photographs and imagine all those special moments in between.

I cherish every piece I make, every set of flowers, bouquet, photos and charms that my clients would have me preserved. They are special because they hold a great meaning, a story, created by different lives, unique souls. I think that being able to perfect the craft of preserving flowers in resin, is the holy grail of all mementos, if I may say.

I am personally impressed by the clarity, retention of color and the protection resin gives as it encases everything inside it. Sure, that as time goes by, just like any other material in this world, just like old yellowed pictures and antiques, these resin pieces will also age, but I think that’s also beautiful.

The process may look easy as we have showcased in our video posted below, but learning the craft would require a certain amount of patience, attention to detail, technical know-how, understanding of the medium and the effects of its surroundings, using the right tools and calculating the right amount of balance between the medium and its subject.

Just like how I fall in love with every bridal dresses that I’ve ever created, I pour the same passion and energy to every art piece that I make here in Cucco Manila.

I think, it’s really great that brides now can keep their bouquets forever through resin flower preservation. We are not limited to just flowers, we also accept preservation of so much more.

I am always looking forward to creating wonderful, heartfelt pieces and grateful to be entrusted by our clients with one of the most memorable treasures in their lives.
